He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Mae Lemery Brinkman and Parker Brinkman; his brothers, David, Garlan and Marlan Brinkman; and his sister-in-law Carol Brinkman.

He is survived by: his children, Beverly Spath (Dale) of Dardenne Prairie, MO and Barry Brinkman (Mindy) of Old Monroe; his grandchildren, Andrew Brinkman (Tasha), Benjamin Brinkman (Alicia), Ryan Brinkman, Tyler Brinkman, Jaime Spath, Emily Spath, Danielle Eaton, Brian Spath, Shannon Lippert and Christopher Spath (Amber); his great grandchildren, Jordan, Katie, Jack, Oliver, Charlie, Henry Brinkman, Bentley Spath, Allyson, Ayla, Aria Eaton, Greta, Peck Spath, Sam, Drew Lippert and Lilly Spath; his sister Julie Murphy of Old Monroe; and his sister-in-law Sharon Brinkman of Old Monroe. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
