Marilyn Schlitter Obituary

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband James D. Schlitter; her children, JoAnne Levy (Jim Thomeczek), Ellen Sue Levy (Carl Desenberg), Jerry Lundsgaard, Nancy Levy, David Levy (Stephanie Kurtzman) and Alex Schlitter (Tave Hollins); her grandchildren, Samantha Wendling (Mickey), Jake Thomeczek (Kate), Jerry Thomeczek (Sydney Hoffman), Mari Thomeczek, Josh Thomeczek, Miranda Levy Siwak, Bradford Levy Siwak, Lathan Levy, Ansel Levy and Hanya Levy; her great grandchildren, Brennan, Luca and Teddy Wendling; her brothers, Edgar Newstadt (Barbara) and Mitch Newstadt (Mollie); her parents, Mitchel Newstadt and Johanna Newstadt; her former spouse Dr. Jerry Levy; and her caregivers, Kyahna Johnson, Antwoin Murphy, Regine Johnson, Shamella Logan, Jade Sutton, Georgia Jones and Isaiah Neely.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the New Mt. Sinai Cemetery (8430 Gravois Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123, USA). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A shiva was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Home of JIM Thomeczek and JoAnne Levy of Jim Thomeczek (416 Berkley Pl Ct, Olivette, MO 63132).
