She was predeceased by: her parents, Theon "Mouse" Schaefer and Marie Schaefer (Schoen); her husband James Dale Hamm, Sr.; her siblings, Theon Schaefer, Jr., Patricia Blankenship, Mary Fowler and Sharon Knight (Karl); and her sister-in-law Bonnie Schaefer.
She is survived by: her children, James Dale Hamm Jr. (Myrsa) of Jackson, MO and Cynthia Cody Castleman (Bruce) of Jackson, MO; her brothers, Gilbert Schaefer of Holts Summit, MO and Mike Schaefer (Lisa) of Scott City, MO; her brother-in-law Roy Blankenship (Peggy Gross) of Jacksonville, FL; her niece Terrie Jo Pool of Jacksonville, FL; and her sister-in-law Carol Nihiser (Schaefer) of Buda. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
