It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence Ira Darrow Sr. (Oronogo, Missouri), who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Darrow and Minnie Darrow (Greer); his wife Noma Darrow; his daughter Thersa Kavanagh (Darrow); and his siblings, Francis Darrow, Alida Jones, Waneta Russell and Dorothy Whitley.
He is survived by: his children, Penny Howard (Mike) of Carl Junction, Missouri, Lawrence Darrow (Lorri) of Springfield, Missouri and Kirk Darrow (Stacey) of Pittsburg, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Molly Tarwater (Trent), Megan Howard, Ira Darrow (Taylor), Trent Kavanagh, Brett Howard, Kolton Darrow (Gabby) and Madi Darrow; and his great great grandchildren, Kaizer Tarwater, Harper Tarwater, Kreed Tarwater, Roman Darrow, Lukka Darrow and Sage Darrow.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Brenner Mortuary (114 E 4th St, Pittsburg, KS 66762). A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Weaver Cemetery (12705 Co Rd 227, Oronogo, MO 64855).
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, and can be left in care of Brenner Mortuary at 114 E. Fourth St., Pittsburg, Kansas, 66762.
