He was predeceased by : his parents, John P. Madigan Sr. and Catherine Anne Madigan (Farrell). He is survived by : his wife Mary Madigan (Wessels); his pet Maggie; his children, Kathleen Madigan, Catherine Sinnett (Matt), Patrick Madigan (Ellie), Kurt Doering (Catherine), John Doering (Michelle), Joseph Doering (Amy) and Mary Ellen Gustafson (Tracy); his brother James Madigan; his grandchildren, Sebastien Doering, Xavier Doering, Sienna Doering, Alex Gustafson, Claire Sinnett, Emilee Sinnett, Jack Sinnett, Patrick Madigan, Thomas Madigan, Kevin Madigan, Victoria Doering and Henry Doering; his sister Catherine Dempster (Nan); and his sister-in-law Peggy Madigan.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Home (514 MO-42, Osage Beach, MO 65065). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lake Catholic Church (2411 Bagnell Dam Blvd, Lake Ozark, MO 65049).
