He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Marlin Sperling and Salome Sperling; his brother Tom; his father-in-law Hepa; his wife Connie Sperling of Osage Beach, Missouri; his brothers, Ron Sperling (Karen) of Lincoln, Norm Sperling of Mooresville, Larry Sperling (Donna) of Moundridge and Shelly Sperling (Marvetta) of Wagoner, Oklahoma; his children, Adam Sperling (Renae) of Colorado Springs, David Sperling (Ashley) of Lake Ozark and Lydia Sperling of Denver, Colorado; and his grandchildren, Avery, Micah, Blaine, Graham, Will, Anna and Hudson Sperling.

Tom was passionate about the ministry of The Navigators and wanted all memorials to be given to missionaries they support.
