We bid farewell to Earl Grimes of Osborn, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 24, 2025 at the age of 90. Earl touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Earl had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Earl may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. L. Grimes and Alice Grimes (Hubble); his wife Thelma Johnson; and his siblings, Fred (Shirley) and Martha Marie.
He is survived by: his children, Marie Saunders (Steve), Allison Barry (Jeff), Kathy Gerrish (Steven) and Jerald Grimes (Karen). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Poland-Thompson Chapel (222 W 3rd St, Cameron, MO 64429). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church (318 N Pine St, Cameron, MO 64429).
Memorials may be given to Osborn Evergreen Cemetery and/or Osborn High School Alumni Scholarship Fund.
