He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Grace Suiter and Lester Suiter; his wife Marti; his children, Mike (Susie), Michelle Cavanaugh, Paula Lesley (Mike), Jami (Neal Okerbloom), James and Kymberlee; his stepsons, Timothy Buckner, Christopher Buckner and Kyle Buckner; his son Brian Thompson; and his siblings, Janet Stueve and David Suiter. He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home.
