He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Joseph and Adele Marie Schneider; and his sister Gina Lola Miller. He is survived by: his sister Jacqueline Karsten (Thomas); his sibling's children, Thomas Karsten Jr. and Jamie Elizabeth Karsten; his great-nieces, Kendal Mali Karsten and Charlie Johnson; and his great-nephew Ellery Farmer Johnson IV.
