With sadness, we share the passing of Edgar Roy Heitman of Overland, Missouri. Edgar, born on October 3, 1951 in Sparta, Illinois, passed away on July 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Roy and Alice "Tillie" Heitman Sr.; his brother Kevin Heitman; his siblings-in-law, Patti Heitman, Adrian "Butch" Saurhage and Stephen Teel; and his parents-in-law, Margaret Hamilton and Lawrence Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Heitman; his son James Heitman; his daughter-in-law Angela Heitman; his children, Michelle Heitman Forbes and Michael Heitman; his daughter-in-law Rachel Heitman; his stepdaughter Brittany Crumby; his sister Cheryl Saurhage Teel; his grandchildren, Blake Benjamin (Gracia), Devin Johns, Felix Heitman (Kayleen), Ronald Heitman, Zoey Heitman and Xander Heitman; his great grandchild Rowan Thomas; and his siblings-in-law, Larry Hamilton (Nancy), Kathy Kern (Paul), Patricia Walsh, Jackie Roesslein (Mark) and Phyllis (Bill).
Memorials: Ed's family suggests donations in his memory be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (https://www.ourredeemerstl.org) or the STL Youth Sports Organization, which Ed recently helped find a new home at Our Redeemer.
