It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Elizabeth Diestelkamp (Owensville, Missouri), who passed away on June 19, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Emde and Peggy Lou Emde (Carter); and her son Jacob Diestelkamp. She is survived by: her husband James Diestelkamp of Owensville; her daughters, Jaime Nelson (Brad) of Jefferson City and Jodie Hubenthal (Branden) of Knob Noster; her stepchildren, Brian Diestelkamp of Owensville and Michelle Patke (Jeff) of Washington; her siblings, Jeff Emde (Tammi Bell) of Owensville, Cheryl Schlottach (Kenny) of Owensville, Barb Feagan (Mike) of Owensville and Charlie Emde; her sibling-in-law Joplin; her sister Susie Moniz (Al) of Modesto, Calif; and her grandchildren, Hunter, Carter, Harper Nelson, Carsen, Sutton Hubenthal, Hailey, Breanna Diestelkamp, Kaitlyn and Kaden Patke. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel (108 S 2nd St, Owensville, MO 65066). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter's United Church of Christ.
