He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldo Kottwitz and Hilda Kottwitz (Niebruegge); his daughter Amber Christine Kottwitz; his brother John Waldo Kottwitz; his brother-in-law Dennis Kurrelmeyer; and his parents-in-law, Ray and Helen Kurrelmeyer (Mutz).
He is survived by: his wife Debra Kottwitz; his son Kurtis Lee Kottwitz (Erin) of Bay; his siblings, Jeanette Thomas (Ed) of Owensville, Robert and Wayne Kottwitz (Denise) of Owensville; his siblings-in-law, Dale Kurrelmeyer (Lynn) of Rosebud, Doug Kurrelmeyer of Rosebud, Brenda Kurrelmeyer of Owensville and Mary Beth Fricke of Hermann; and his grandchildren, Korbyn and Eben Kottwitz.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel (108 S 2nd St, Owensville, MO 65066). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. James Evangelical Church (300 Hawthorne Ln, Charlotte, NC 28204).
Memorials may be given to St. James Evangelical Church Charlotte or St. Paul's Cemetery.
