He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Logan and Edna Shoemaker (Morgan); his wife Leona Mae; his siblings, Ralph, Jim, Donald Shoemaker and Edna Faye Hock; and his daughter-in-law Debra Shoemaker.

He is survived by : his children, Lisa Hudson (Brett) of Owensville, Mark Shoemaker of Owensville and Sandra Dews-Fuchs of Owensville; his brothers, Doyle Shoemaker (Darlene) of St. Clair and Stanley Shoemaker (Kathy) of Owensville; his grandchildren, Sonya, Angela, Brittany Hudson, Logan Shoemaker (Kim) and Morgan Shoemaker; and his great grandchildren, Michael and Isabella Hudson.
