He was predeceased by : his wife Nadine Roberson; his brothers, Danny and Rowdy Kirk; and his children, Rodney Kirk and Teresa McDonald.

He is survived by : his children, Ralph Kirk (Lisa) of Independence, Missouri and Tammy Nielsen (Scott) of Punta Gorda, Florida; his grandchildren, Joanna McDonald, Cody Carsten of Ozark, Austin Nielsen and Briana Nielsen. Amber Whittemore and Shane of Port Charlotte, Florida; and his great grandchildren, Cooper Carsten and Madelyn Whittemore.
