We announce the death of Sharon Kay Schleis of Ozark, Missouri, who passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 76. Sharon will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Sharon will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Sharon will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Sharon’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dock Little and Imogene Little (Keysser); and her brothers, Wilburn Little and Roger Little. She is survived by: her husband Ted Schleis; her son Aaron Layton (Amy); her granddaughter Hailey Layton; her nephew Roger; and her great-nephew Ryan Little.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Highlandville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Sharon's memory to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, the largest no-kill, non-profit animal shelter in Southwest Missouri.
