The memory of Charles W. Burkhardt of Palmyra, Missouri, who passed away on October 29, 2025 at the age of 82, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the vast expanse of eternity, Charles shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Charles farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Burkhardt and Katherine Skinner Burkhardt; and his sister Elizabeth Coons (Ronnie). He is survived by: his children, Lee Jay Jordan of West Plains, MO, David Burkhardt (Lynne) of Goodman, MO, Yvonne Goellner (Paul) of Palmyra, MO, Todd Burkhardt of Brunswick, ME and Alison Burkhardt of Palmyra, MO. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel (424 S Main St, Palmyra, MO 63461). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials can be made to the Palmyra Nutrition Center for Veteran Meals or the VFW.
