She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustav Weiss and Alta Weiss (Wasson); her husband Murray Vincent Mewhorter; and her siblings, Karen Sherman and Larry Weiss.
She is survived by: her children, Lori Gough (Patrick) of Shelbina, MO, Gail Gough of New London, MO and Kenneth Epperson (Rachel) of Hannibal, MO; her sister Sharon Thomson of Kahoka, MO; her grandchildren, David Damron (Alexis), Megan Somers (Steven), Jessica Kroeger (Thomas), Cheyenne Sutton, Jared Damron, Evan Gough (Bree Jordan), Hannah Epperson and Logan Epperson (Bryce Epperson); and her great grandchildren, Oren, Elan, Brantley, Halli, Olivia, Kyle, Clara and Cooper. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Life Pentecostal Church (75 Terrel Ln, Hannibal, MO 63401). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made out to NEMO Humane Society or Maple Lawn Activities Department, in care of Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
