He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Thomas Cantrell and Elizabeth Catherine Swank Cantrell; and his siblings, Isabelle Flynn, Ethel Meyer, Delores Rose, Ruby Weldy, David "Bud" Cantrell, Donald Cantrell, Ralph Cantrell, Raymond Cantrell and Junior Cantrell.
He is survived by: his close friend Nancy Pence; his children, Gerald Cantrell Jr. (Cheryl) of Sparta, IL, Greg Cantrell of Quincy, IL, Lisa Robbins (Tod) of Ursa, IL, Shana Williams of Quincy, IL and Michelle "Shelli" Howell (Bobby) of Lorraine, IL; and his grandchildren, Jerad, Amanda, Mitchell, Trisha, Matt, Brianna, Haley, Blake, Brooklynn, Lauren, Sarah and Andrea. He is also survived by several great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. (302 S 5th St, Hannibal, MO 63401). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice in honor of Jerry.
