With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Gottman Hess of Palmyra, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 9, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Gottman and Helen Weller Gottman; her husband Grant C. Hess; her granddaughter Kasey Hess; and her sisters, Rita Thompson and Jean Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Hess (Pam) of Palmyra, MO, Terry Herren (John) of Harrison, NE, John Hess (Jacqulyn) of Palmyra, MO and Peggy Meyers (Eddie) of Palmyra, MO; and her grandchildren, Zack Hess (Alana), Emily Hess, Mackenzy Hess, Brooke Knode (Tucker), Quinn Keslar (Chad), Raine Herren, Stacey Snodgrass (Charlie), Betsey Hobbs (Bill), Hannah Hultz (Chris), Corey White (Sofonyas), Charlie White (Jen), Clayton White (Amanda), Lindsay Catalano, Whitney Meyers and Grant Meyers. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
