It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lu Bates of Palmyra, Missouri, who passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James M. Bates and Lily Hazel Brown Bates. She is survived by: her cousins, Martha Griesbaum (Glenn), Gene Bates (Lora), Kathy Colwell, Bill Colwell, Gene Vaux, Kevin Miller, Mark Miller and Mary Lu's; and also, Sarah and John Guilford. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
