With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Sue Bays of Park Hills, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 4, 2025 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janet Sue Bays to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Burnice A. Black and Goldie L. Black (Bowers); her children, Ronald E. Bays and Melinda S. Bays; and her siblings, Billy G. Black (Rita), Gerald W. Black (JoAnne) and Wanda May Ray (Eugene).
She is survived by: her husband Charles E. Bays; her children, Steven W. Bays (Laura) of Sikeston and Mary R. Bays of Farmington; her grandchildren, Derek Detring, Scott King (Ayumi), Courtney Beasley (Matthew), Zach Bays, Garrhett Bays (Samantha), Bryce Bays and Bayleigh Cates; and her great grandchildren, Callen and Bella. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cozean Memorial Chapel (217 W Columbia St, Farmington, MO 63640).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
