He was predeceased by: his former wife Shirley Lee Wheat; his wife Suzanne Wheat; his parents, Erman Archie and Viola Wheat (Cobb); and his siblings, Bill Wheat, John Wheat, Tommy Wheat, Paul Wheat and Judy Chilton.
He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Wheat (Amy) and Mark Wheat (Kim); his grandchildren, Zach Wheat, Brittany Wheat, Emmie Wheat and Tyler Wheat; and his sister Mary Wheat. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
