He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Runde and Matilda E. Runde (Ginther); his wife Mary E. Protzman; and his siblings, Leo Runde, Richard Runde, Walter Runde, Jack Runde, Eugene Runde, Sally Davison, Teresa Kemper Price and Rita Andriano.

He is survived by: his children, Daniel Runde (Traci), Michael Runde (Louise), Patrick Runde, James Runde, Keith Runde (Missy) and Catherine Runde; and his sisters, Rose Starke, Mary Crocker and Monica Clayton. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.

In memory of Bernie, the family suggests memorials to be made in care of Price Funeral Home to be used for future agricultural scholarships.
