He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Mitchell and Sarah Mitchell (Newlin); his wife Patricia Mitchell (Froman); his children, Linda Bullard (Randy) of O'Fallon, IL and Richard Mitchell of Benld, IL; his stepchildren, Sarah Kelley (Stan) of Des Arc and Aaron Whitmer (Rebecca) of Piedmont; his sisters, Chyrel Madden of Texas, Marce Wilson of North Carolina and Jacqueline Stanley of Kansas; his grandchildren, Trey, Madison Whitmer, Hayley Whitmer, Susannah Whitmer, Austin Mitchell (Olivia), Abbie Mitchell, Aiden Mitchell and Kourtnee Bullard; his great grandchildren, Levi, Josie, Emersyn and Crew; and his grandson Edison Waller.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Chapel (100 E Piedmont Ave, Piedmont, MO 63957). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
