She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Pinkey Kennedy and Dadie Kennedy (London); her husband James T. Shoemaker; her children, Brenda Sebastian and David Shoemaker; her grandsons, Baby Donald Williams Jr., Donnie Williams and Stevie Shoemaker; her siblings, Frieda Hicks, Pauline Bumgardaner, Ina Mae Faulconer and Clifford Kennedy; and her daughter-in-law Carolyn Shoemaker.

She is survived by: her children, Steve Shoemaker (Cindy) of Oran, Rocky Shoemaker of Oran, Kenneth Shoemaker of Advance, Darlene Thompson (Phil) of Allenville and Carla Curtis (Clyde) of Morley; her children-in-law, Vicky Shoemaker of Jackson and Gerald Sebastian of Allenville; and her brother Lendell Kennedy of Edwardsburg, Michigan. She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, forty-two great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
