He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Gough and Alberta Gough (Hinson); and his brother William "Little Bill" Gough. He is survived by: his wife Martha Schwanke; his sons, Jerry Gough (Bonnie Kennedy) of Plattsmouth, NE and Terry Gough (Patty) of Morning Sun, IA; his siblings, Robert "Bob" Gough (Mary) of Hannibal, MO, Carolyn McPike (Richard) of Gladstone, MO and Marilyn Lancaster (Henry) of Independence, MO; his grandchildren, Rachael Golden (Scott), Ashley Bauer (Jake), Sarah Sieh (Ryder), Christy Michele Humphrey (Atiba) and Chad Stephens (Brandy); and his great grandchildren, Elijah, Kya, Ryder, Ruelle and Alyssa. He is also survived by numerous step-siblings, nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in Don's memory and can be made to the Monroe City Hometown Volunteers, "Christmas in Caring" program.
