He was predeceased by: his mother Beatrice Kay Smith (Kite); his wife Nancy Sue Smith; his father William Dewey Smith; his son-in-law Raymond Blaylock; and his brothers, William C. "Duck" Smith and Edward M. Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Wallace Daniel Smith, Jr. (Deanna) of House Springs, Christine Wilson (Bryan) of Festus, Theresa Hopkins of De Soto, Carolyn Blaylock of Crystal City and Karen McPhearson of Grandberry; his brother Randy K. Smith (Nancy) of Festus; and his grandchildren, Patricia Tuner, Veronica Gunther (Tim), Britney Gassier (Dustin), Corey Gassier, Rachel Faulkner (Justin), Austin Smith, Steven Blaylock, Amanda White, Justine Wedde, Seth DeClue, Tasha, Sunny Cummings, DJ Moon, Rhonda Dobbs, Jessica and Destiny Hicks. He is also survived by his sixteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mahn Funeral Home Twin City Chapel (515 Collins Dr, Festus, MO 63028). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
