He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Rainwater and Jewel Marie Rainwater (Davis); and his sister Kathern Rhodes. He is survived by: his wife Janet Boatwright; his children, Scott Rainwater (Vicki) of Piedmont, Sonia Tibbetts (Steve) of Southport, ME, Lynn Rayfield of Piedmont and Karen Latham (Dow) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Josh Rainwater, Sarah Montgomery (Adam), Ryan Rainwater (Rachael), Trevor Swope (Laura), Shannon Swope, Jessica Sanchez (Mike), Collin Summers, Cooper Latham, MacKenzie Latham, Tyler Tibbetts and Dalton Tibbetts (Ashlea); and his brother Carroll Rainwater (Sue) of Greenville. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
