She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Green and Lillie Mae Green (Higgins); her husband Preceding; her siblings, Hazel Van Der Wege, Mary Ellen Henson, Mamie Steele, Floy Steele, Carl Green, Howard Green, Floyd Justine, Marvin Justine, Alvin Raymond Justine and Lewis Green; and her son-in-law Jim Seal.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Barfield (LaRae) of Piedmont, Jerry Barfield (Kristi) of Piedmont, Brenda Seal of Piedmont and Linda Barfield of Piedmont. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews along with other family and friends.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be given to the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
