The memory of Donald Lee Gripka of Pierce City, Missouri, who passed away on September 20, 2025 at the age of 85, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Gripka and Joseph Gripka; and his brother Frank. He is survived by: his wife Margie Gollhofer; his children, Janet (Phil) and Brad (Heather); his grandchildren, Andrew (Grace), Katelyn (Drake), Madison, Riley, Hailey and Sarah; and his siblings, Mary Ann, Harold (Carol), Carolyn (Phil), Ken (Dana) and Joe (Vicki). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A rosary was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (200 Front St, Pierce City, MO 65723). Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made, in Don's memory, to St. Mary's Catholic School in care of Lakin Funeral Home.
