It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas D. Tvedt of Platte City, Missouri, who passed away on March 22, 2026, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Barbara Tvedt; and his sister Joyce. He is survived by: his father Stanley Tvedt; his wife Tammy; his siblings, Joan Burquest (Tom) and Don; his sons, Jonny and Ryan; and his stepsons, David, Cody, Mike and Dustin (Alyssa). He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in Doug's memory to Dinkytown Athletes.com (for football) or Unbound.org/Tvedt, or simply taking a moment to finish a project "one step at a time" in Doug's honor.
