Gentry left this world on March 11, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley Ruark and Elsie Ruark (Goodwin); his siblings, Autho Ruark, Dee Ruark, Clayton Ruark, Frank Ruark and Gracie Pinson (Ruark); his siblings-in-law, Elmo Pinson, Kenny Maib, Frank Bowers (FJ), Dan Ellis, Barry Barker, Benny Barker, Bette Maib, Beverly Bowers, Barbra Ellis, Earlene Barker, Pat Barker (Dee) and Susie Ruark; and his siblings' children, Cheryl Taraskewich (Ellis), Robert Ruark, Dennis Ruark, Shane Ruark and Charles Pinson.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Ruark (Barker) of Platte City, Missouri; his children, Dr. Tracey (Ruark), Miller (Mike) of Weston, Missouri and Chris Ruark (Dana) of Liberty, Missouri; his grandchildren, Phillip Ruark (Addie) of Holt, Michaela (Miller), Dudley (Nathan) of Dearborn, Elizabeth Ruark of Nashville and Nick Miller of Agency, Missouri; his stepgreat-grandson Gunner Wynn (Phillip); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Hanes, Bernece Hanes and Helen Ruark. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great and great great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
