He is survived by: his wife Tracy Zahnd (McGaughey); his sons, Benjamin Russell Zahnd and Luke Lawrence Zahnd; his siblings, Brian Zahnd (Peri) and Melissa Hartwell (Douglas); his parents-in-law, Karen and Willy McGaughey; and his brother-in-law Kevin McGaughey (Bessie). He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church - Platte City (17385 MO-371, Platte City, MO 64079). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
