We announce the death of Jack Birdsell of Platte Woods, Missouri, who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 79. Jack will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale E. Birdsell and Geneva B. Birdsell (Knight); and his brother Johnnie Birdsell. He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Samborski (Jeff), Ed Birdsell (Nancy), Chrissy Carver (Anthony) and Andrea Birdsell; his siblings, Jimmie Birdsell, Judy Miller (Don), Jody Pryor (Roger) and Jerry Birdsell; his grandchildren, Koval, Roman, Katie, Emily, Charlie and Oswin; and his pet Valerie.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Meyers Northland Chapel (401 Main St, Parkville, MO 64152). A celebration of life was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Athens Cemetery (D Rd, Des Arc, MO 63675).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice and left in care of the funeral home.
