It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alta Joy Kent of Plattsburg, Missouri, born in Lathrop, Missouri, who passed away on June 3, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Burt Belcher and Sarah Lee Belcher (Howe); her husband Gilbert Theodore Kent of Plattsburg; her daughter Joyce Ann Jones; and her brothers, Robert Keith Belcher, William Franklin Belcher and Lloyd Burton Belcher.

She is survived by : her son Jerry Kent (Marsha) of Topeka, KS; and her grandchildren, Jason Kent, Brandon Kent (Shannon), Lindsey Webb (Joey), David Jones, Nathan Jones (Lisa) and Micheal Jones. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Hardin Baptist Church or the Ray County Hospital Physical Therapy Department.
