He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis E. Mitchell and Nannie E. Mitchell (Small); his wife Betty Jo Bunger; his son Fred Mitchell; his grandson Logan Gray; and his siblings, Milton Mitchell and Sue Tehel.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Mitchell (Catherine) of Osceola, Richard Mitchell and Susie Gray (Darrell) of Pleasant Hill; his grandchildren, Tracy Mitchell, Chris Mitchell (Debbie), Jacob Mitchell, Levi Mitchell and Elizabeth Holt (Andy); his great grandchildren, Tristan, Faith, Chloe, Cayden and Brock; and his friend Becky Curtin.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Logan Gray Memorial Scholarship. Checks should be made payable to the Pleasant Hill Education Foundation and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
