He was predeceased by: his father Charles Smith; and his stepfather Kenneth Gentry. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Michelle Jones of Pleasant Hill; his children, Alyssa Smith of Holden and Zackary Smith of Pleasant Hill; his mother Nancy Gentry (Stephens) of Odessa; and his brothers, David Smith (Tammi) of Lee's Summit and Stephen Smith of Odessa. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
