He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Elliott and Mildred Elliott (West); his brother Grover Dale Elliott; and his grandparents, Alta Elliott, Grover Dale and Eula Mae West.
He is survived by: his children, James E. Elliott (Kimberly) of Pleasant Hill and Janice LaRue (Glen) of Pleasant Hill; his wife Patricia Elliott; his grandsons, Chuck Tye (Amanda) of Pleasant Hill, Chris Tye of Holden and Lowell Elliott of Pleasant Hill; and his great grandchildren, Austin Tye, Mason Tye and Cooper Tye. He is also survived by nieces, a nephew, other relatives and many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in honor of Earl to Ascend Hospice, 783 NE Anderson Lane, Lee's Summit, Missouri 64064 or the Pleasant Hill Animal Shelter, memorial donations may also be sent in care of the funeral home.
