With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward R. Hilligoss (Pleasant Hill, Missouri), born in Kansas City, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 24, 2025 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Raymond and Lois Esther Hilligoss (Aldrich); his son Edward Allen Hilligoss; his great grandchild Audra Skye Firestone; and his sister Esther Gammill.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his daughters, Susan Genova (Jack) of Overland Park and Jeanne Dula (Denny) of San Antonio; his daughter-in-law Denise Hilligoss (Laval) of Houston; his brother-in-law Kyle Laval of Lone Jack; his grandchildren, Emily Hilligoss of Albuquerque, Elizabeth Hilligoss of Katy, Carrie Firestone (Ezra) of Accord and Michael Nelson of Laredo, Texas; and his great grandchild Isaac Firestone. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift to MD Anderson, City Union Mission or a charity close to your heart is suggested; these may be sent in care of the funeral home.
