James Beattie Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Beattie of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, born in Kingsville, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 17, 2026 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter James Sr. and Alice Gene Beattie (Hooton); his close friend Billy Ellifrits; and his brother Ronald L. Beattie. He is survived by: his close friends, Bill Norvell and Charley Walker; his children, Brenda Williams of Pleasant Hill, Keith Head (Shelly) of Weatherford, Dusty Beattie (Cherie) of Pleasant Hill and Angie Beattie-Woods (Jason) of Pleasant Hill; his grandchildren, Zach Williams, Blake Williams, Ryan Head, Kendra Adams (Daniel), Naomi Griggs (Zack), Kace Beattie and Dalton Woods; his brother-in-law H. A. Todd of Pleasant Hill; and his cousin Eva "Pee Wee" Pontalion of Independence. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Children's Mercy Hospital in honor of his great grandson Quinton.
