James W. Cotton Obituary
It is with sadness that we share the passing of James W. Cotton of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, born on April 6, 1940. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Hardin Cotton, Sr. and Rachel Anzline Cotton (Hamilton); his wife Mary Evelyn Cotton; his son William Ray Cotton; and his siblings, Buford H. Cotton, Jr., Pansy Fugate, Mary Jane Tilkens and Bonnie Lee Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Anne Cotton of Columbia, Missouri; his children, Tammy Kelley (Kirk) of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Tim Cotton (Cindy) of Raymore, Missouri; his grandchildren, Laura Mancinelli (Tony), Jeff Cotton (Karlie), Daniel King, Hunter Kelley and Noah Cotton; and his brother Dr. Donald Cotton (Deidre) of Joplin, Missouri. He is also survived by six great-granddaughters.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Wallace Funeral Homes (422 N Lake St, Pleasant Hill, MO 64080).
