He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse C. Hayes and Lola A. Hayes (Small); and his siblings, Jesse Hayes, Jay Hayes, A. J. Hayes, Audrey Hayes, Ruth Kingsolver and Evalyn Hale.
He is survived by: his wife Josie Hayes; his children, Sheryl White (Lee) of Zephyrhills, Allen Hayes (Tammy) of Pleasant Hill and Kent Hayes (Sandy) of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Stewart Hayes (Nicky), Collyn Hayes (Ashley), Ethan Hayes, Katie Dillon (Patrick) and Melissa Eaton; and his brother Jerrall Hayes of Pleasant Hill. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Harrisonville United Methodist Church or St. Croix Hospice and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
