With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joy V. Young of Pleasant Hill, Missouri, who passed away on July 31, 2023 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James R. Hart and Joyce L. Hart (Crowley); her son Matthew L. Young; her nephew Ryan B. Thomas; and her niece Kelly Hart.
She is survived by: her husband Terry Young; her daughters, Jacki Scott of Savannah, Missouri, Rachel Baker (Casey) of Troy and Sarah Buchanan (Andrew) of Springfield, Missouri; her grandchildren, Rylee Scott, Seth Scott, Adryan Scott, Jayden Wall, Ashtyn Wall, Kynley Baker, Zachary Buchanan and Colby Buchanan; and her siblings, Nancy Ewan of Raytown, Jimmy Hart of Olathe and Carol Schindel (Mark) of Raymore.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the "While We're Waiting Refuge" and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
