He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Rose Nichols and Charles Nichols; and his siblings, Robert Nichols, Donald Nichols and Marilyn Messick.

He is survived by: his daughter Heather Ann Green (Chuck); his girlfriend Nola J. Boyd; his son-in-law Chuck Green; his siblings, Charlie Nichols (Sandy), Jerry Nichols (Linda), Gordon Spencer and Mary Young (Lonnie); and his girlfriend's children, Stephanie Ray (Danny), Leanne Miller (Mark) and Tim Lamb (Vicki).
