He was predeceased by: his father Harley D. Ballard; and his sister Patricia "Patti" Alexander. He is survived by: his mother Alice K. Ballard (Hutchens) of Pleasant Hill; his siblings, Mark Ballard (Mary) of St. Charles, Susan Miles (Richard) of Warrensburg and Mary Dunn of Independence; his brother-in-law Rick Alexander of Pleasant Hill; and his nieces and nephews, Jason Ballard (Beth), Shawn Ballard (Cara), Daniel Ballard, Preston Alexander, Kevin Alexander (Crystal), Josh Alexander (Brittany), Hillary Fleak (Michael), Melissa Spears (Josh) and Kara Vasalinda. He is also survived by 13 great nieces and nephews; two great nephews; other relatives and friends.
