He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Barnard and Virginia Barnard; and his daughter-in-law Barbara Barnard. He is survived by: his children, Walter Barnard, Jr. of Nixa, Missouri, Chris Barnard of Nixa, Missouri, Scott Barnard of Nixa, Missouri, Robert Barnard of Nixa, Missouri and Terry Hernandez (Martin) of Nixa, Missouri; and his brothers, Paul Barnard and Allen Barnard. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
