He was predeceased by: his parents, John Emmons and Hazel Emmons; his wife Janet Nimon; his siblings, Sonny, Alvie, Rick Emmons, Evelyn Cassinger, Myrtle Anderson, Mary Jane Quiqley and Janice Crabtree; his daughter-in-law Jackie Nimon; his grandchildren, Joey Emmons, Sarah Nimon and Elizabeth Cassie; and his great grandchild Ace Davis.

He is survived by: his former wife Carolyn Conner; his children, Mike Emmons (Connie) of Fisk, Alanna Lee (Kelly) of Dudley, Rebecca White of Bernie, Scott Emmons (Yuki) of Bernie and Jamee McDonald (Dennis) of Paducah; and his stepchildren, Leornard Nimon of Poplar Bluff, Terry Nimon (Linda) of Poplar Bluff, Ellen Nimon of Carlisle and Kim Cassie (Tim) of Carlisle. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
