She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Cockrell and Naval. She is survived by: her sister Patricia; her daughter Julie (Poplar Bluff); her pet Phil; her husband Phil; her daughter Newkirk-Vande Ven (Dave Vande Ven); her grandsons, Jack, Ethan and William Vande Ven; and her sister Mary Lynn Guavera. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services (1100 Iron Bridge Rd, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (17357 Stars and Stripes Way, Bloomfield, MO 63825).
In honor of Claudette's memory, contributions can be made to the Animal Welfare Alliance of Southeast Missouri, a no-kill animal shelter she and Phil have been involved with for years.
