He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Winfree and Imogene Winfree (Van Buren); his brother Dennis Burgin; and his son David Ray Winfree Jr.. He is survived by: his significant other Audrey Winfree; his children, Brian Winfree (Barbara), Debra Russom (Danny) and Daniel Winfree (Debbie); his brothers, Larry Winfree, Ron Burgin and Bob Burgin; and his pet Joey. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
