He is survived by: his children, Tahitia Purnell, Ronnie Bonds and Michael Purnell; his grandchildren, Charney, Taliea, Tyrika, Keirrah, Keith, Kyrah and Mychaela; his siblings, Cleartha Davis, Jackie March, Virgie Morton, Queen Esther Lanford, Dorothy Cox, Mosella Harris, Rosetta Sildon and Angela Perales; and his aunt Dorothy Lee. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
